MY STORY

My path to a holistic and evidence-based fitness regime began in my youth, fueled by the awe-inspiring physiques of famous bodybuilders and celebrities showcased in magazines. I dreamt of sculpting a similar physique for myself.

Initially, I was under the impression that intense physical exertion alone, like doing countless pushups or engaging in rigorous workouts, would be enough to reach my physical goals. However, I soon came to understand a harsh reality: many of the physiques I admired were often the result of performance-enhancing substances.

This realization steered me towards the ethos of Move Meta, which advocates for a balanced approach to fitness, one that bridges the worlds of bodybuilding and bulletproofing. Move Meta is committed to a journey of fitness that is well-rounded and grounded in evidence, avoiding any health-compromising shortcuts. It champions achieving peak physical and mental resilience through natural means, aligning with your body’s inherent strengths. Welcome to the Move Meta way of life – a blend of strength, endurance, and genuine well-being.

Despite not being bestowed with exceptional genetics and firmly rejecting the use of performance-enhancing drugs as a shortcut, I found myself grappling with an extremely slender physique. Even with hearty servings of my mom’s delectable Colombian dishes every night—Arroz con Pollo, frijoles, y pescado frito—the scale refused to budge.

In the face of this challenge, I refused to yield. Determined to realize my dream physique naturally, I embraced the Move Meta philosophy. Despite the initial struggles, Move Meta stands for resilience and a commitment to achieving your goals authentically, without compromising your well-being.

Navigating the path to my fitness goals proved to be more challenging than anticipated. Experimenting with various methods—Keto, intermittent fasting, dirty bulking, devouring a dozen eggs a day, rigorous two-hour daily workouts, heavy and light lifting—I left no stone unturned in my quest for transformation.

The struggle intensified as conflicting advice flooded in. The ripped gym regular touted one approach, while online forums and Instagram influencers insisted on something entirely different. Trusting these sources based on appearances left me disheartened as the promised results remained elusive.

Stuck in a cycle of frustration, a breakthrough moment occurred when I stumbled upon a 2019 book titled “Hypertrophy: Muscle fiber growth caused by mechanical tension.” Delving into the scientific intricacies of muscle growth and optimizing training variables, this discovery became the key that unlocked progress. It was a turning point, propelling me beyond the confusion and guiding me towards a more informed and effective fitness journey. 

Additionally, a pivotal moment was finding “ATG For Life” by Ben Patrick. This book proved instrumental in understanding injury prevention and bulletproofing, adding a crucial layer to my holistic fitness journey aligned with the Move Meta philosophy.

I was enthralled by a wealth of knowledge, applying it to my training with transformative results. Recognizing the universal frustration with unreliable fitness advice, I embarked on a career in fitness, blending science with my passion. Armed with multiple fitness certifications, I harnessed effective methods, inspiring me to share this holistic approach with the world. This journey mirrors the Move Meta philosophy, bridging bodybuilding and bulletproofing for comprehensive wellness.
